Lentils French Organic
French’ style green lentils, also known as puy lentils, are small, olive coloured legumes that have a delightful earthy, peppery flavour and aroma. They are a particular variety from the “Puy” region in the centre of France. These flavoursome lentils are fast cooking, so it is not necessary to pre-soak them before cooking. However, some people may choose to do so for 30-60 minutes to reduce any remaining saponin, a naturally occurring coating on seeds and pulses.
