Jasmine rice is a nice accompaniment to Asian inspired soups, curries and stir fries and can also be used to make rice balls or to add a unique flavour to paella and pilaf. Cooked and cooled grains are ideal for salads, fried rice and rice pudding.
When serving rice pudding for breakfast or as a dessert, simply re-heat rice in dairy, oat or nut milk until creamy.
To cook jasmine rice either steam, boil or use the reduction method. To preserve the unique aroma of jasmine rice it is best not to salt cooking water and season after if needed.
